Amazon Music announced on Tuesday the launch of 2024 Delivered, a new personalized yearly recap feature inspired by Spotify’s popular Wrapped experience. The feature delivers a summary of your listening habits, including your top artists, songs, genres, and more.
To see your 2024 Delivered, open the Amazon Music app on your iOS or Android device and go to the Library page. Tap on “2024 Delivered” and access your “Top Songs 2024” playlist. Like other music services such as Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube Music, it also offers shareable animated cards that display your listening stats.
The most notable aspects of 2024 Delivered include the display of your favorite podcasts and the most requested song you’ve asked Alexa to play. Some Amazon Music listeners with Alexa devices will even get a special message from one of their favorite artists of the year. Those selected will see their Alexa device flash a yellow light to indicate that they have a message. This provides a differentiated experience compared to other music streaming apps and takes advantage of Amazon’s virtual assistant.
Previously, Amazon Music offered a My Year in Review playlist to compete with Spotify Wrapped; however, this feature was limited and only showcased 50 to 100 of the most popular tracks based on yearly statistics, without providing specific data or shareable insights. 2024 Delivered aims to offer a more comparable experience.
The new feature arrives around the same time that other music streaming services launched their yearly recap experiences. Apple Music also unveiled its 2024 Replay feature on Tuesday, which introduced “listening streaks” that highlight the longest consecutive days users have listened to music on the platform. On Monday, YouTube Music released its 2024 Recap feature, offering listeners three new statistics: a personalized summary of their music preferences, a timeline showcasing key moments from the year, and an alter ego based on their most listened-to tracks and artists.
Spotify’s highly anticipated Wrapped stats haven’t arrived yet but are expected to happen soon.
